The program is open to Swiss artists working in artistic disciplines supported by Pro Helvetia. Two artists will be selected via the open call. Applicants’ art practice should involve technological or digital aspects, either in the media used or in the underlying concept. To be eligible, artists must be firmly embedded in the Swiss cultural scene and be Swiss citizens or permanent residents of Switzerland.
In cooperation with Hangar, centre for artistic research and production in Barcelona, Pro Helvetia is launching a new collaboration programme in the fields of art and technology.
The three-month hybrid residency “Art and Technology – Residency at Hangar” is aimed at arts practitioners from Switzerland. Applicants’ art practice should involve technological or digital aspects, either in the media used or in the underlying concept.
It is due to run from 1 May to 31 July 2024. The collaboration will take place online for the first month, participants will then spend the remaining two months at the Hangar in Barcelona.
