I’m not sure if anyone here has heard of GPT-3. GPT-3 is a new artificial intelligence (AI) model by Openai and to put it mildly, disturbingly good. It can do basic math like Algebra, some coding, write stories, poetry, music, give interviews or have a conversation with you. You can currently experience this for yourself if you go to https://play.aidungeon.io/ and sign up for a free trial (credit card needed) for 7 days. Or use the free version with GPT-2 in the background. But I really recommend the GPT-3 version.
GPT-3 was release in 2019. GPT-3 a couple of months ago. The difference between the two models is immense. In a couple of years, you will no longer be able to distinguish between humans and AI generated tweets, articles or lyrics. (You can’t now, actually. But GPT-3 still needs some human oversight over longer passages and contextual changes). Text based professions will be transformed by the successors of GPT-3 and similar AIs. There are already some people like book authors, who utilize GPT-3 to help write their book and I’m quite sure, this will drastically enhance the quality of the book and general productivity of the author.
