Comment here, if you have interest to experiment and research in our new lab facility… named Hackteria’s Open Science Lab (for now), part of our shared hackerspace Bitwäscherei.
I suggest using our online forum to have a shared communication and be in contact with our global community at the same time. Make an account if you don’t have one now.

It’s time to plan a get-together where we learn more from each other’s interests and plans for experiments, so we can slowly build the lab as we go along.
Also, as discussed we could choose a suitable regular time in the week to do stuff in the lab, also as a contact point for new people who show interest. Any suggestions/restrictions?
Monday evenings?
Any other people we should invite?
I’d like to share some of our older experiences and discussions on “Lab Making” nicely written down by Sachiko and Urs and available here:
https://www.hackteria.org/wiki/Bio_Lab_Infrastructure#People_not_Infrastructure
-
“Making a Laboratory is both a spontaneous activity and a slow labor of love.”
-
“A Lab is a place to labor (not only of love), experiment, research and share - there is no labor, experiment, research or sharing without the people.”
I will finish our new application “Generalanmeldung” for BSL1, which then gives us the legal basis of using the lab, including some basic storage and experiments with genetically modified microbes. The preparatory work by Maya will make this an easy exercise:

Also I want to add some info on our front page of Hackteria:
https://www.hackteria.org/projects/news/hackteria-zet-open-science-lab-in-zurich/
to serve as an info-page for people, public, outsiders etc. describe ourselves, how to connect, where to find us, the infrastructure available and some of the projects we want to work on.
Ale? You wanna help with writing a few lines? i really like your recent Medium article!!

Looking forward to see our lab blooming, sprouting, sliming and shining!
